Ashwin is a Fellow of Engineers Australia and Chartered Professional Engineer with 20 years of experience across various engineering, projects and leadership roles; the last 10 years of which was spent at ElectraNet is South Australia and the previous 10 years spent at Eskom in South Africa.
APD is delighted to announce the appointment of John Azaris to our Melbourne office as Engineering Manager. John is a Masters and Bachelor Degree qualified Manager and Engineer with more than 30 years of experience within the Victorian utilities sector.
APD appoints Indhran Pillay, coming on as Manager, Lines & Principal Engineer in South Australia. Indhran is an Electrical Engineer with more than 19 years post graduate design and project management experience, in overhead power lines with voltages up to 765kV and structures up to 145m high.

Rodney is a Chartered Professional Engineer with more than 20 years’ experience in the power industry both in Australia and abroad.

APD was contracted by the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority for the replacement of failing relays and an upgrade of functionality to their existing system, improving the networks reliability and quality of power. APD’s scope of work was to review existing hardware and settings, perform bench testing of relays, commission new relays, update settings and provide training to SIEA staff.
