APD were engaged by Rio Tinto requiring 3 sections of overhead power lines to be undergrounded to allow for new haul roads to be constructed. After field data collection, we completed the power line modelling to AS7000 and Rio Tinto’s specifications for new and existing poles and towers. APD also provided detailed designs for structures, foundations, line profiles, earthing and more.
APD is proud to announce that it has been accredited as a preferred supplier for Queensland’s Powerlink.
APD were contracted by ActewAGL to do a field survey, line assessment and detailed tower and pole designs as they intend to provide communications links between substations on their 132kV transmission network.
APD were engaged to perform detailed design and development integrating the conveyor emergency stop system into the plant Process Control System. BHP Billiton Iron Ore had identified the need to replace the existing conveyor emergency stop modules at their Area C mine. APD saw the project through from development and design to construction supervision, testing and commissioning.
APD were commissioned to perform detailed design and development in integrating two new potable water tanks and associated equipment into the plant Process Control System at BHP Billiton Iron Ore Yandi Mine.
APD undertook the design to BHP requirements; automated processes development, testing and commissioning; construction support; site commissioning and project delivery.
APD were consulted by Rio Tinto’s Nammuldi Agricultural Project when facing challenges with their Pivot Control System. After an assessment of the existing infrastructure APD developed a design that not only improved the system but simplified it, making it practical and cost effective. APD also conducted the testing, construction and commissioning of the project.
APD was contracted by the Solomon Islands Electricity Authority for the replacement of failing relays and an upgrade of functionality to their existing system, improving the networks reliability and quality of power. APD’s scope of work was to review existing hardware and settings, perform bench testing of relays, commission new relays, update settings and provide training to SIEA staff.
