APD were contracted by ActewAGL to do a field survey, line assessment and detailed tower and pole designs as they intend to provide communications links between substations on their 132kV transmission network.
After the Field survey, APD calculated conductor tensions, designed connections to ensure clearances, assessed the strength of existing towers and poles and the impact of the additional loads, then provided solutions where modifications were required.
